The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) released November Producer Price Indexes (PPI) today. Highlights are as follows (all indexes on a seasonally unadjusted basis):
- Farm products increased 6.4% in the last month and rose 6.2% in the last twelve months
- Processed foods + feeds rose 0.8% from October and increased 3.6% since November 2023
- Textile products + apparel fell 1.1% in the last month and decreased 0.6% in the last twelve months
- Fuels, related products + power decreased 2.3% since October and fell 10.1% from November 2023
- Chemicals + allied products fell 0.8% in the last month and increased 0.9% in the last twelve months
- Rubber + plastic products decreased 0.3% since October and increased 1.1% since November 2023
- Lumber + wood products rose 0.3% in the last month and increased 1.4% in the last twelve months
- Pulp, paper + allied products saw no change since October and rose 2.7% from November 2023
- Metals + metal products rose by 0.4% in the last month and increased 1.6% in the last twelve months
- Machinery + equipment rose 0.1% from October and increased 2.7% since November 2023
- Furniture + household durables saw no change in the last month and increased 1.1% in the last twelve months
- Nonmetallic mineral products decreased 0.2% since October and increased 3.6% from November 2023
- Transportation equipment increased 0.2% in the last month and rose 1.7% in the last twelve months
- Miscellaneous products rose 0.9% from October and increased 6.0% since November 2023
