The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) released November Producer Price Indexes (PPI) today. Highlights are as follows (all indexes on a seasonally unadjusted basis):
- Farm products rose 2.9% in the last month and decreased 17.4% in the last twelve months
- Processed foods + feeds decreased 0.9% from October and fell 1.4% since November 2022
- Textile products + apparel fell 0.2% in the last month and fell 1.2% in the last twelve months
- Fuels, related products + power fell 2.6% since October and decreased by 10.1% from November 2022
- Chemicals + allied products decreased 1.2% in the last month and fell 5.8% in the last twelve months
- Rubber + plastic products saw no change from October and fell by 2.4% since November 2022
- Lumber + wood products decreased 0.8% in the last month and fell 5.6% in the last twelve months
- Pulp, paper + allied products fell 0.5% since October and fell 0.8% from November 2022
- Metals + metal products fell 0.1% in the last month and decreased 1.5% in the last twelve months
- Machinery + equipment rose 0.2% from October and increased 3.8% since November 2022
- Furniture + household durables rose 0.5% in the last month and increased 2.1% in the last twelve months
- Nonmetallic mineral products decreased 0.1% since October and increased 5.4% from November 2022
- Transportation equipment rose 0.1% in the last month and increased 2.0% in the last twelve months
- Miscellaneous products rose 0.1% from October and increased 5.0% since November 2022
