The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) released November 2020 Consumer Price Indexes (CPI) today. The all items index decreased 0.1% in the last month and increased 1.2% in the last twelve months. Other food at home decreased 0.7% since October 2020 and increased 2.9% since November 2019. Peanut butter saw a 0.1% increase from last month and a 2.9% increase from twelve months ago. Beer, ale and other malt beverages at home rose 1.0% between October – November 2020 and increased 4.2% from November 2019 – November 2020. Alcoholic beverages saw an increase of 0.4% in the last month and a rise of 3.0% in the last twelve months. Household paper products rose by 4.0% since October 2020 and increased 7.7% since November 2019. Outdoor equipment and supplies increased 1.7% between October 2020 – November 2020 and rose 4.1% between November 2019 – November 2020. Housekeeping supplies rose 1.2% in the last month and increased 5.4% in the last twelve months. Tobacco and smoking products increased 0.5% from October 2020 and saw a 4.4% increase from November 2019. Appliances rose by 0.3% in the last month and increased 6.1% in the last twelve months.
