The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) released November 2021 Producer Price Index (PPI) today. The all commodities index rose 1.4% in the last month and increased 22.8% in the last twelve months. Farm products rose 4.4% from October 2021 and increased 20.0% since November 2020. Processed foods + feeds maintained the last month and increased 10.5% in the last twelve months. Textile products + apparel increased by 1.4% from October 2021 and rose 14.9% from November 2020. Fuels + related products rose 2.4% in the last month and increased 54.2% in the last twelve months. Chemicals + allied products rose 1.1% since October 2021 and rose 24.4% since November 2020. Rubber + plastic products increased 1.7% in the last month and rose 20.1% in the last twelve months. Lumber + wood products increased 1.4% from October 2021 and rose 12.9% since November 2020. Pulp, paper + allied products increased 0.9% in the last month and rose 15.8% in the last twelve months. Metals + metal products increased 2.6% since October 2021 and rose by 47.5% from November 2020. Machinery + equipment rose 0.7% in the last month and increased 6.3% in the last twelve months. Furniture + household durables increased 0.6% from October 2021 and rose 10.3% since November 2020. Transportation equipment increased 0.3% in the last month and rose by 3.7% in the last twelve months.
