The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) released November 2021 Consumer Price Indexes (CPI) today. The all items index rose 0.5% in the last month and increased 6.8% in the last twelve months. Commodities, less food + energy commodities, increased 0.6% from October 2021 and rose 57.5% since November 2020. Energy commodities increased 2.8% in the last month and rose 57.5% in the last twelve months. Food at home increased by 0.3% from October 2021 and rose 6.4% since November 2020. Meats, poultry, fish + eggs rose 0.6% in the last month and increased 12.8% in the last twelve months. Meats increased 0.7% from October 2021 and increased by 16.0% since November 2020. Snacks rose 1.6% in the last month and increased by 5.9% in the last twelve months. Frozen + freeze dried prepared foods rose by 1.5% from October 2021 and increased 5.7% since November 2020. Other food at home increased by 0.9% in the last month and rose 5.7% in the last twelve months. New vehicles increased by 1.2% from October 2021 and rose 11.1% since November 2020. Used cars + trucks rose 2.6% in the last month and increased 31.4% in the last twelve months. Furniture + bedding increased 0.6% from October 2021 and rose by 11.8% since November 2020. Tobacco + smoking products increased 0.9% in the last month and rose by 8.9% in the last twelve months. Household furnishings + supplies increased 0.3% from October 2021 and rose 6.0% from November 2020. Miscellaneous personal goods rose 1.1% in the last month and increased 6.0% in the last twelve months.
