The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) released June 2022 Producer Price Indexes (PPI) today. Highlights are as follows (all indexes on a seasonally unadjusted basis):
- Farm products decreased 1.0% in the last month and increased 26.5% in the last twelve months
- Processed foods + feeds rose 1.2% from May 2022 and increased 11.3% since June 2021
- Textile Products + apparel rose 0.9% in the last month and increased by 14.8% in the last twelve months
- Fuels, related products + power rose 12.5% since May 2022 and increased 69.4% from June 2021
- Chemicals + allied products rose 0.6% in the last month and increased 12.8% in the last twelve months
- Rubber + plastic products increased 1.2% from May 2022 and rose 18.8% since June 2021
- Pulp, paper + allied products rose 0.7% in the last month and increased 15.6% in the last twelve months
- Metals + metal products decreased 1.5% from May 2022 and increased 15.7% since June 2021
- Machinery + equipment rose 0.8% in the last month and increased 11.1% in the last twelve months
- Furniture + household durables rose 1.3% since May 2022 and rose 11.8% from June 2021
- Nonmetallic mineral products increased by 1.1% in the last month and rose 12.2% in the last twelve months
- Transportation equipment rose 0.4% from May 2022 and increased 5.2% since June 2021
- Miscellaneous products increased 0.4% in the last month and rose 8.5% in the last twelve months
