The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) released June 2026 Producer Price Indexes (PPI) today. Highlights are as follows (all indexes on a seasonally unadjusted basis):
- All commodities decreased 1.9% since May and rose 10.2% from June 2025
- Farm products fell 2.6% in the last month and increased 3.4% in the last twelve months
- Processed foods + feeds increased 0.3% from May and rose 1.4% since June 2025
- Textile products + apparel rose 0.5% in the last month and increased 5.2% in the last twelve months
- Fuels, related products + power decreased 8.5% since May and rose 26.5% from June 2025
- Chemicals + allied products fell 0.1% in the last month and increased 9.2% in the last twelve months
- Rubber + plastic products increased 1.4% from May and rose 6.0% since June 2025
- Lumber + wood products rose 0.9% in the last month and 3.6% in the last twelve months
- Pulp, paper + allied products rose 1.1% since May and increased 3.1% from June 2025
- Metals + metal products increased 0.6% in the last month and rose 17.2% in the last twelve months
- Machinery + equipment rose 0.1% from May and increased 7.2% since June 2025
- Furniture + household durables increased 0.8% in the last month and rose 2.9% in the last twelve months
- Nonmetallic mineral products 0.6% since May and increased 4.2% from June 2025
- Transportation equipment saw no change in the last twelve months and rose 2.4% in the last twelve months
- Miscellaneous products decreased 0.1% from May and increased 5.6% since June 2025
