The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) released December 2025 Producer Price Indexes (PPI) today. Highlights are as follows (all indexes on a seasonally unadjusted basis):
- Farm products rose 0.3% in the last month and fell 0.3% in the last twelve months
- Processed foods + feeds fell 0.9% from November and rose 1.8% since December 2024
- Textile products + apparel rose 0.8% in the last month and increased 4.0% in the last twelve months
- Fuels, related products + power decreased 3.4% since November and fell 1.1% from December 2024
- Chemicals + allied products fell 0.3% in the last month and increased 0.9% in the last twelve months
- Rubber + plastic products rose 0.1% since November and increased 0.7% since December 2024
- Lumber + wood products increased 0.1% in the last month and fell 0.5% in the last twelve months
- Pulp, paper + allied products rose 0.1% since November and increased 1.1% from December 2024
- Metals + metal products increased 3.2% in the last month and rose 13.7% in the last twelve months
- Machinery + equipment rose 0.3% from November and increased 5.2% since December 2024
- Furniture + household durables increased 0.4% in the last month and rose 4.6% in the last twelve months
- Nonmetallic mineral products rose 0.2% since November and increased 2.9% from December 2024
- Transportation equipment increased 0.3% in the last month and rose 2.3% in the last twelve months
- Miscellaneous products rose 0.3% from November and increased 5.9% since December 2024
